Butterball’s vacation has led to a lapse in recent corp reports.
April was a good month. We were able to acquire and install a cynosural generator in B-U299 to speed transport in and out of system. In addition the first of some new moon mining starbases were established in Cobalt Edge with approval from Oldma and high command. It is hoped that further starbases and advanced ship production will be up and running within a few months.
Towards the end of April the Goonswarm Federation, Northern Coalition incursions. These impeded some operations but the corp gained some good combat experience. Almost a week and half of solid combat in VY and surrounding systems.
Goonswarm Federation held the station for about twelve hours at one point in early May. Solar Fleet, Ethereal Dawn and Solar Wing provided defense assistance in VY to protect the infrastructure hub and thus the system was never lost.
While IRC, SOLAR, ED and SOL-W defended VY other elements of DRF launched a probing attack on several key systems in Tribute. Goonswarm Fed then withdrew most of their forces from Cobalt Edge to aid in the defense of Tribute. However they maintain a small recon combat presence which continues to prick the side occasionally of the Cobalt Edge Residents.
Concord has recently issued new regulations for jump bridge operations to increase safety at the bridges. The first of these new regulations takes effect in 4 days barring some divine intervention. This new regulation will prevent ships with a jump drive from using jump bridges except the rather small Black Ops ships. It was cited that there could be a feedback loop that could destroy both the Jump Bridge and Jumping ship, the instance of occurrence was less than one in a million but Concord in their infinite wisdom has decided that is to great a risk.
The next phase of new regulations will take place next month in June. These include a large fuel bay refit to jump bridges to speed the flow of traffic as well as a limit of one jump bridge per system. Barring diving intervention these new regulations will change greatly traffic in outlaw regions. Concord cites that there could be an effect upon the stars in a system that could increase flare activity as the reason for the new limits on jumpbridges, they cite the number of stargates active as alternatives to using the more convenient jumpbridges and thus lowering the chance for coronal mass ejections which could destroy planets in a system.
