[GEPT] Galactic Express

Greetings fellow members and maybe new folks as well!

Despite the ongoing war with Drone Russian Federation (DRF) and the Northern Coalition (NC ). Life here in The Spire hasn’t been too horribly bad. I mean of course there are the typical roams and various other PITA logistic issues, but other than that daily life is fairly normal for us out here.

We have been fortunate to have a few wormholes open up in our region which has allowed us to easily send yummy drone goodies back to High Sec, while allowing us to replenish and continue our every present ratting, mining, and anomalies.

Now to say it has been a piece of cake would be to blow off the current war battling around us. Honestly it’s a PITA (Pain in the Ass).  It makes creating “stuff” difficult and with roaming 20+ man fleets on a daily/weekly basis it makes it hard to produce the most profitable stuff. I suppose it could be worse and we could have 100 man red fleets camping all the region 23/7, but it’s still annoying. 

We have  had some more departures from the corp in the last month and as always it is sad to see people leave, mainly the PVP style players, the drone lands haven’t really ever been famous for the large amount of PVP and up until this recent offense by the NC most of our PVP players were honestly bored out of their minds as it was 20+ jumps sometimes just to find some PVP. Now of course in the past  few months that has changed. There have been several capital CTA’s and more typical support style CTA’s with the ongoing offensive. So those that enjoy that style of play are starting to see more action. 

On the other side we have had some new recruits join up in the last couple of months, and they are getting settled out here and are beginning to understand the various nuances of Spire life. While we still have our dedicated Mission Runners running around in High/Low Sec a lot of us have branched out into the Spire and overall, and I speaking for myself here, I feel it has been a positive experience overall. Has it been hard at times hell yes.. boring.. yup you bet ya, but overall compared to most spaces in 0.0 the Spire has been very good to our mining and industrial members.

Since we don’t get rat bounties or typical rat loot out here in Spire we rely on lovely Drone Poop (Drone Alloys) and mining, and of course the random wormhole here and there. As a result of this change in typical isk making we decided to incorporate the MOPS system (Which is run and maintained by Lurkmoor McNasty CEO of Fleetworks). I can’t begin to recommend this service enough. It is constantly being refined and updated dependant on the needs of the Alliance and other corps, and to be blunt it makes the whole trying to make ISK out in the Drone Regions a hell of a lot easier for everyone involved.

I think I am beginning to ramble here, but suffice it to say while the Drone Regions are a bit different then most 0.0 space we have come together as a corp to give it a really honest attempt. We have lost some people as a result of our decision to move out here, but in turn we have also gained some good people as well.
